A seven-story Jewelry District building on Hill Street near Seventh will reopen in November as creative offices and coworking space, with a twist—all “dedicated exclusively to the fast-growing cannabis industry,” Bow West Capital, the building’s owners, announced today.

Dubbed “Green Street,” the 67,000-square-foot building will hold a few floors of coworking space, offices, a restaurant, an art gallery, retail space, and a rooftop amenity deck, “serving providers and consumers of cannabis-related products.”

The 5,000-square-foot, 230-seat ground-floor restaurant was “specifically designed to suit the contemporary cannabis connoisseur,” says a release from Culver City-based M-Rad Architecture, which is redesigning the 1913 building.

Three of the building’s seven floors will be leased by Green Street Agency, “a branding and business development consultancy” with clients are in the cannabis industry. Another floor will be leased by Vicente Sederberg LLC, which bills itself as “The Marijuana Law Firm.”

More than a dozen members are signed up to work out of Green Street, according to Bow West, all of them weed-related start-ups and businesses. There’s only one floor still open for tenants, says broker Andrew Sinasohn, who along with Jake Zacuto of Zacuto Group, represented Bow West in the deal.

Green Street will be at the forefront of the marijuana-centered co-working game, but it might not be the first building in LA devoted to cannabis companies.

In March, a company called Paragon announced it would convert a Hollywood office building into a coworking space exclusively for startups and freelancers working in the weed industry. That project, called The Paragon Space, was scheduled to open this month.
